This is the passion of The Reading Fairy.
The Reading Fairy provides a unique language arts lesson in consultation with the teacher.She is thrilled to be able to read to students.  Because children love anything out of the ordinary, The Reading Fairy is able to augment the teachers hard work in fun, creative and interactive new ways.

The Reading Fairy program consists of three main parts during her twenty-five to thirty minute visit.

Part One consists of a greeting, then introduction and preparation.  First, everyone learns and sings "The Reading Fairy Song".  Next, a new vocabulary "Word for the Day" is learned and everyone discusses what the students read during the past week.

Part Two is the reading of "Our Book for the Day".

Part Three begins with a group discussion to enhance comprehension, and concludes with "The Magic Ending Box  This portion ties objects in the “magic ending box” to the story, the teacher's theme, and promotion of literacy and love of reading.

The Reading Fairy is available on a limited basis for other engagements.

A portion of all proceeds are donated to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation in loving memory of Stephanie Motz Miner - a daughter, sister, neighbor, mother, and our friend.
